About the Firm

The TradeMatcher firm has been matching trade transactions for active traders (including the preparation of Schedule D and Schedule D-1 pages as well as Form 8949 and Form 4797 documents) through this web site since February 2, 2003 when it was acquired by attorney Wayne Durden.

Mr. Durden’s experience in these matters actually predates the TradeMatcher web site (beginning in 1996 while he was still a litigating partner at the law firm of Brannen, Searcy & Smith) and became a substantial part of his practice beginning in 1999.

In order to handle the processing, we maintain privately developed and proprietary software which allows us to create “point perfect PDF documents” and spreadsheet result files.  We frequently handle data sets which standard commercial offerings have simply failed to process.  For instance we just recently completed a set for a high frequency trading client with more than 1.1 million trade transactions for a single tax year.  This client was unsuccessful in having this work performed elsewhere before finding our firm by internet search.

We are proud to say that our clients seem to greatly appreciate our service as evidenced by their unsolicited comments on the web at sites such as elitetrader.com
